Chan Neo LLP is a boutique law firm specialising exclusively in construction and building law, with more than 30 years of history, being founded in 1987 as Chan Tan & Partners, later known as Chan Tan LLC and now Chan Neo LLP. The firm represents clients of all tiers in the infrastructure, engineering, building and construction industries and provides services from front-end contract drafting to dispute resolution including mediation, adjudication under the Building and Construction Security of Payments Act and arbitration.

Indeed, the practice of the firm develops with the building and construction industry in Singapore from drafting standard form contracts (namely the Singapore Institute of Architects main contract and sub-contract forms, the Real Estate Developers Association of Singapore design and build standard form of contract and the Singapore Contractors Association Limited domestic sub-contract forms 2023), to conducting regular lectures and seminars with industry bodies from the BCA Academy, the Board of Architects, the Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institute of Engineers, to the Singapore Contractors Association Limited and other organisations, and to publication of books on construction law.

The firm was certified by the Law Society of Singapore as a Smart Law practice in 2017 for its efforts in harnessing legal technology to increase productivity, and has been recognised as Singapore’s Best Law Firms by The Straits Times and international market researcher Statista since its inaugural listing in 2020. In the 2025 Straits Times-Statista listings, the firm was also recognised as a Distinguished Member of the Singapore’s Best Law Firms.
